Concurso "Origomu"
"Change the world with your own hands"

costeiros e animais marinhos, danificando o meio ambiente.
Hoje tu podes fazer a diferença.

Origomu, is a movement that motivates and teaches people
how to create jewelry from recyclable materials. Origomu's vision is
"Environmental awareness through design", using plastic six-pack rings
(those that every year threaten the lives of thousands of shore birds and
marine animals around the world).

Greencard Creative has created a contest (with great prices) to select the
best three pieces:

1st Prize $5,000
2nd Prize $2,000
3rd Prize $1,000

The best 500 necklaces will appear in the Origomu collection book published
by Taschen.
Otro Diseno believes that Jewellery has a tremendous power to communicate
and its portability makes it an ideal media to promote awareness on matters
as important as this one. And I am convinced that the limitless talent and
ability to transform, create and communicate though jewellery that all of
you have would mean a meaningful contribution to the Origomu initiative.
SoI really hope that many of you will find this project challenging and
encouraging and that we will see lots of your pieces in that future Taschen
book!
The contest is open to the general public, as well as to well established
artists, designers and jewellers from all nationalities. All kind or
materials can be combined with the plastic six-pack rings. The rings can be
manipulated any way you can think of.
To enter the contest, all entry forms and photos of your finished work must
be summited before November 30th, no later than 11:59PM US East Time.
