Life takes place in three dimensions, plus time. Meanwhile, according to scientists, the universe may be based on up to eleven dimensions.
Are these dimensions conceivable at all? And if so, how could this reflect on the creation of jewelry? In my workshop, we will concern ourselves with the creative process and how certain philosophical and scientific concepts could enrich it. We shall try to broaden our ability of conception by going beyond the everyday life experience. We may imagine Alice in Wonderland leaving her familiar surroundings to immerge into another world - the reverse side of the mirror - or we may follow Francis Picabia’s saying : "Our heads are round so that our thinking can change directions”. In doing so, we will enforce the dialog between our cognition and our hands.

Período: from 20/07/2009 to 31/07/2009
 
Horário: Segunda a Sexta,  10:00 - 13:00 e 14:00 - 17:00, total 60 horas
 
Custos: Euro 1.450 + 20% tax
 
Requisitos: Conhecimentos avançados em técnicas de joalharia.

Será feita uma selecção de  12 participantes, no máximo, com base no curriculum vitae. 
Alchimia informará os candidatos e a  admissão será confirmada após o pagamento de 500 euros.
